Sue,
Scrappy was found this morning dead under a big bush up on the downs. I don't know what happened to her. She has gone to be cremated and I will have her ashes scattered.
I am so so upset, I'm sure you understand how I feel but at least I found her and for the short life that she had it was wonderful for her to have all the downs to play. She was loved very deeply and I shall miss her and never forget my beautiful little friend Scrap. God Bless you Sue for your support and understanding throughout my ordeal.   Tracey

Well we got what we wanted, its Tigger's birthday and he's home.  We got up this morning and he was wandering around the kitchen.  He looks to have lost weight but otherwise looks ok.  He's going to the vets for a check up just to make sure.  Needless to say he's going to be spoilt rotten for his birthday.  Thanks for getting him on the site so quickly and for all your support.   Tracy

'Small' 24th Mar.2006 - 8th Apr.2006
c0770

aka Moss, a 6yr old small Black and white female, missing from Stamford Hill, London. Not wearing her collar when she went awol...
Morning Sue
I've got Small back.  I almost can't believe it.  A lady called me at 7am this morning, saying my cat was in her garden.  She gave me her address and I ran over there.  She lives about one street over and 2 long blocks down at the very end of the road... Anyway, when I got there the cat was gone.  I brought some food and whistled and talked and called her name.  After about 15-20 minutes we heard her meow and she jumped on top of the shed.
Even though I think she recognized my voice she was still very scared and did not want to come.  I eventually had to get on a chair and grab her.  She was very scared and wanted to get away.  I put her in the kitchen of the house while I ran back to get the cat carrier box.  She's home now and at first seemed confused and maybe shocked.
She looks pretty good for having been lost for over 2 weeks.  A little skinnier and one small scrape but other than than she is fine. She's alot tougher than I thought.
I really want to thank you so much for all your help.  I was very upset and thought I'd never get her back.  I was very impressed with your service, your website advice etc. I really feel for all the other owners who's cats / pets are missing.I remember you said the flyers are the best way to find a cat and it really was.  Plus asking anyone and everyone you see to keep an eye out and phone you if they see the cat... I don't think they would have been able to catch Small but their calling me was perfect

'Mona' 19th Mar.2006 - 14th Apr.2006
c0763

Mona a young looking 11yr old Fluffy Tortoiseshell female, not wearing her collar when she went missing from South Shore.
Hi Sue,
Mona is back with us now!!!
I did a load more leaflets (just over 100) and blitzed the houses a bit futher afield. Then my sister and niece arrived for the half term and my sis was out talking to people, banging on doors, putting posters on lamposts etc.
Anyhow, tonight on my way back from the pub, no more than one street away from my house a cat miaouwed at me as I walked past, I turned round to stroke it and found it was Mona. So I picked her up, and she fought and struggled a bit (not too much though) and brought her home.
I got the impression she didn't know where she was and wasn't sure where I was taking her but now she's home she mewing like mad, and rubbing her head on everything, my shoes, the sofa etc. She didn't want feeding, I immediately put her a bowl of food down (good stuff as well - Sheba) but she wasn't interested, and she generally looks fine and well. My sis is taking her to be chipped asap!
So thank you for putting her picture on your site, now I am thrilled that she can be promoted to the found cats section! Thank you for all your help, support and advice.          Neil

He can't stop drinking water... he looks scared, gaunt and keeps sleeping!!

Hi Sue,
I thought I'd let you know the fantastic news that Freddy is home! I'd just got home from handing out another 250 flyers when I got a call from a lady who is about a mile away. She apparently feeds all the local strays and thought that she was feeding Freddy. I pulled up at her house, preparing myself for the usual let-down when I spotted him! I called his name and he turned and looked at me. He was very frightened but I managed to catch him and bundle him into his cat box. I am so glad I had it in the car waiting!
I would like to say a truly MASSIVE thank you to everyone at 'mymoggy.com'. I have dropped off the flyers so hopefully that will get the website noticed more. You do an amazing thing and I really hope more people can find their lost moggies - the key is to NEVER give up!

Billy is safe and sound after being found a couple of weeks ago in Poulton aprox 2 miles away he'd probably followed the railway line there - Billy is an FIV cat and was in a terrible state when found - a bag of bones, bleeding at both ends and covered in sores. The advise to have him put to sleep was ignored by his human, Dawn and round the clock care is beginning to see Billy back on the road to being fit and healthy once more.
Huggs to Billy & a big pat on the back for Dawn - Well done !!

Sue, having to work away, and not knowing whether CJ would stay put , prevented my contacting you when he returned home.
Anyway he has learned his lesson. We were contacted by the RSPCA who scanned him after he'd been taken to them by a gentleman who had been working on befriending him for that purpose. CJ had moved into the gents garden where he made friends with the two dogs belonging there - not much worse for his 'ordeal' apart from a scratched eye which is responding nicely to treatment & TLC.

Racoon real name 'Arthur' is a 1yr old neutered male Tabby with big bushy tail, White feet & White under his face *notice the White mark on the side of his nose , wearing his Silver collar when he went missing from Chorley...
Hi Sue, Fantastic news; we finally got our 'Racoon' back this evening ! (11th jan - 02nd may) We got a phone call from the local vets around 18.00 saying a lady had brought him in. The lady was there when we arrived & explained to us that she had only recently taken him in herself as he had been following her & crying at her door. We suspect the person who originally took him in & allegedly was refusing to return him to us, dumped him when when we contacted the Carehome we believe she is employed by just over 3 weeks ago.  Ironically, the Chorley Guardian are doing a story on him tomorrow to try & help us get him back - its strange timing to say the least !!!. We had also contacted the police, but they could do very little because of the data protection act, but i believe they also made a phone call to this carehome & put some pressure on them.  Arthur looked really pleased to see us & has grown into a big beutiful cat. Our only concern is that he has lost some fur & we suspect he may have been burnt by a car exhaust when he first went missing. I suspect he must have been trying to keep warm in the cold weather. The other cats looked shocked to see him again, but knew who he was. We will slowly introduce him back in with them over the next few days. Many thanks again for all your help & advice over the last few months.

All Black but for the occasional White/Grey hair through his coat. Wasn't wearing his collar when he went awol from the Hawes Side Lane area of Blackpool...
Hey Sue, I'm extremely happy to let you know that Spuddy came back from his big adventure at 4:30 this morning. He's unscathed although he has barely stopped eating and demanding attention since his return. Unfortunately for him, he came back just in time to be chipped along with the other 4 cats, this morning. It's a shame it took something like this to spur us into finally having it done. However, thanks very much indeed for your help. It may have only been 4-5 days but they were incredibly long days. We're going to keep him in for a couple of days so he can re-acclimatise himself (and rub every piece of furniture at least 5 times) and then nervously let him out again.

What a brilliant web-idea!
I got a call today on my answering m/c from your offices related to a ginger 16 year old female I found about 2 weeks ago advertised in the Maidenhead Advertiser.
After a local mailshot and a cross-ref with a vet's computer, we got a contact with the owners who were called into the office and instructed on how to keep a cat as decent human beings should! She was handed back in a much better state and I will be keeping tabs on her, as I hope will the vet.
Thanks for the call.

Sue,          I was just driving home from work, and saw a tabby cat vanishing into a bush, I thought it was strange as I had not seen another tabby around. I was sure I saw a flash of white foot, so stopped the car and got out. He was yowling like a mad thing, and backing away from me when I realised it was him. He eventually came to me so I scooped him up and put him in the car.I called my boyfriend who ran down to us and we bought him indoors. 3 and a half weeks, an unchipped, uncollered, indoor cat. Wishes do come true!
He is very thin, so I think he has been locked in somewhere, he has a few cuts and is a bit scraggy, but has wolfed down a bowl of food. Spencer is very unimpressed with his brother being home! I think he may have fleas as we are a bit itchy, how shall I treat him now? We fly to Florida for two weeks tomorrow and My Mum is staying to look after the flat. Should she take him to the vet? Spencer has been chipped in the meantime!
I can't believe it. Thank you so much for all your help and good wishes.            Julie.x

Matilda a 3yr old chipped & spayed female DHS Tabby - Brown with Black stripes -really defined Black stripes on tail. Cream undercarriage and neck - Cream round mouth. Small Black dot on her nose. Short hair - but incredibly soft. She has Dark Green eyes and wearing her Black collar with id tag & magnet when she went missing from High Roding....
Hi Sue    Just thought I’d let you know that Matilda came home last night.  I went back to the small hamlet last night where she had been spotted and walked around in the rain – heard a catfight and went running and think I saw the back of her running away – trouble is there was so much rain that she looked darker than her normal self as she was sodden – so wasn’t 100% convinced it was her – met one of the ladies out in the rain – she was bringing food and a blanket out to see if she could get her – aren’t people kind?  Anyway obviously told her to go back indoors as she was getting wet through.  I spent about half an hour just walking around and singing and chatting quietly to Matilda like you had advised – then finally I drove home about 2 miles an hour and called out her name all the way – when I got home I got my husbands socks at the ready and went out the back and called her and about 10 minutes later she turned up – sounding very distressed – she was nervous to come up to the catflap until she saw me.  She was very skinny and very nervous and very wet!  She ate lots of food and then had cuddles with me for about an hour before falling asleep.  I kept her in last night – she was without her collar and magnet – which can’t have helped – but I really don’t think she’s been back since she left 9 days ago cause I’ve been calling her so often.  Anyway was going to keep her in today too whilst I go off and get her a new collar/magnet (much to the disgust of her sister who has to be kept in too!)
Thank you so much for your help and words of advice – it really helped me and helped me to focus on helping her.  I will pass round your cards and take them to our vets and petshops etc to encourage people to look at the site.
Thanks again.    Annabel
Since Matilda's return, Annabel has been back to the hamlet and confirmed that it was Matilda she saw that night.

Dear Sue. Whilst searching our neighbourhood we received some bad news about Cassie.
Last week she had been knocked down and died in the company of her playmate in a neighbours doorway. The lady that informed us kept Cassies collar so i.d. was positive. We are both very upset but we now know what happened to her.
Many thanks for your help and advice and all the best for
the future. Regards. Dave and Lynda.

'Angus' 16th May.2006 - 25th May.2006
c0891

Angus a 6yr old Black and white neutered & chipped male, with white splodge on his left lip/cheek, going down to his small white bib. White on lower belly, White feet and a thin-ish Black tail.
Sue, He's home! He's home! He's home! - so how do I now go about making his Bertie happy about Angus's return? Bertie is currently hiding under our bed and has so far hissed at Angus A LOT!
Angus's return 25th May
Dave had just gone out to go to the houses round the back to do some more shed/garage checks. Bertie the walley was sat underneath our neighbours Jeep so Dave when and said hello. Did the usual 'Angus' call and heard a meow a very disinctive meow. Calling again the meowing became anxious and very
hoarse. Following the desperate meowing toward a garage, a little nose and feet appeared scrabbling at the narrow crack at the bottom of the garage door.
It was Angus! Dave hammered on the door of the respective house and probably terrified the women half to death with the repeated question, 'is that your garage'.
The first i knew of these events was Dave bursting through the front door 'I've found Angus he's locked in a garage down the road'! The women was so apologetic as she'd been away on holiday and said she'd not been in the garage for ages.
So there you have it, home safe, a little lighter with raw front pads but very very purry. Just need to convince his brother Angus is friend not foe.
Thanks again Sue for your advice, fliers etc. I'd be happy to pop fliers up for you in the future

Rags

Rags a 9yr old spayed female Medium Haired Black & White, Black back, White chest, mainly white paws, white mouth and nose with white hair going to a point on her forehead.
Fell from upper floor window - has previously had broken back.
Thank you so much Sue.  I followed your instructions and she came back to me on her own without needing the trap.  I was amazed.  I can’t tell you how grateful I am to you for all your advice. I had thought it was a hopeless situation given where she was but you were right about how she would behave.
Thank you, thank you, thank you.
Rags is fine.  She’s thin and her back legs are quite weak, she was very hungry, thirsty and tired. She was very glad to be home and settled down as soon as we got back to our flat.
Don’t worry the flat without a garden is only a short term measure whilst I find a proper job, which hopefully won’t be too long now I’m in London.  As soon as I have a job I shall get a house with a garden for her (and for me!).
Take care, keep up the excellent work, and thank you again.
My very best regards    Jen

Okay, a bit thin perhaps. Friendly but aggresive to other males being an entire tom.
Hi Sue  We were hoping to take this cat in and get him rehomed. But he was found dead RTA a few days ago, he did have owners but seemed to wander lots. Not chipped or neutered just terrorised the local cat pop.  Real shame, perhaps you can update your records

Hi Sue   Just to update you - other than a case of mistaken identity, we have had no calls at all on this little poppet so it looks like she has a forever home here now! We have called her Rosie, even though she wasn't the Rosie being searched for, the name seemed to suit her. She has now settled but did have some scarring round her neck and went berserk if you touched her collar - possibly been mistreated? She will be fine here

Busta missing in Mapperley NG3

Busta a 1yr old entire dsh Black & White male has a 'hat' of black on his head but the insides of his ears are white/pink along with his nose, black patches across his back and a black tail with white paws.
We took all your advice and did everything possible for two weeks to bring him home and unfortunately our little boy Busta, our best friend, was found dead in a garden nearby with no signs as to why.
So he hadn't wandered off at all, and now at least he is not lost he is home. He was a perfect little man with a short burst of an amazing life and we are grateful we were blessed with him in our family, he will always be with us.
Thankyou very much for your help.
Good luck to all the little pusses out there trying to find home.

Hi Sue   I'm ever so pleased to tell you that Bella came home at 4:00am this morning. I'd left a window open and some house dust by the front door (as per your helpful comments!) and heard a distinctive yowling whilst I was dozing upstairs - so I ran downstairs and opened the door and there she was!!!! 5 days on from when last I saw her - she was absolutely completely fine - not dirty or harmed in any way - just very very hungry! I'm so relieved I can't tell you - I feel like I can finally switch off and relax after 5 days.
Many Thanks again  Saira Glover  x

As of yesterday he is living in our house.
Hopefully someone is missing him because he so affectionate.   When we had the snow in February he slept in our kitchen on top of the tall cupboards.
He is off to the vets on Tuesday to have a thorough check up and of course see if he is chipped
Hi Sue,
Good news, the stray has a chip and is being reunited with his owners later today. He had been missing for 3 months. So antibiotics for his infection and a home to go back to is a good result.           regards Jayne.

Sue,  I have some good news! We went out last night at about 10.30pm and found him....... I was driving down the main road opposite Orchard Close and I spotted him running down the side of the road. I stopped the car quickly and called him, he recognised me straight away and started meowing and ran over to me. I put him straight in the car, took him home and fed him enormous amounts of food. He spent the night walking me up every half hour for cuddles. Biscuit our dog is very pleased to have him back also. He is looking in very good shape and is quite keen to go out on the prowl again! We've decided to keep him in today and slowly introduce him to the outside world.
Thank you so much for your support and help,  I will definitely be recommending you to any other unfortunate person who loses an animal. We are so relieved to have him back and I can now concentrate on work again!.
