Hi Sue

Just an update the leg/foot was looked at by our vet when monty was handed into our vets  (Aniwell vet on Ringwood Road, Poole Dorset its the cats protection vets) and also the ladies vet who handed him in as well as ours luckily.

He has either ripped or pulled the tendon in his knee so we have him on anti inflamatories for now hes doing great though and this seems to have improved somewhat already, however he has to go back to the vet on Monday just to see if he needs an little operation on it (hopefully not).

He managed to travel about 15mins from our house approximately 6 or 7 streets away will never know what made him do that maybe the fireworks I dont know but will always be grateful to Mrs Maureen White who took him in and fed him until a friend of hers saw one of our notices in the street near to hers and advised her it could be the new cat that she'd taken in.

Luckily for us she decided to do the right thing and take him to her vets to see if he was the missing stray and being that it is coincedently our vets too Mr Hayden confirmed that Monty was a missing moggy and needed to be returned to asap.  We have sent her a beautiful bunch of flowers (so she tells me) to say a huge thank you and have swapped phone numbers in case monty does go out and try to find his "foster mum", although at the moment hes stuck to me like glue and showing no interest in wanting to ever go out maybe he will remain a "house cat" not sure yet will let Monty decide on that one.

But from me and Monty just want to say thank you for all your support and your website is fabulous and an ingenius idea I have told everyone about it.  If I can help in any way at all just let me know, as I know what a horrible thing is it to loose your best buddy! love and purrs  xx mandy and monty xx
