"Our darling Bear has been missing since 30th July, any sightings are appreciated."

Bear would try to get up your nose. Literally. Sometimes during the night he would sleep right above my head. Probably because it was the best place to see if my eyelashes or nostrils were moving - and if they were I could expect a quick bop. All of life is a game!

He would happily pose for any number of pictures so long as he could follow with a perfect flop and have his belly tickled. He had a soft, easy purr, sometimes changing into a hen-like warble and (following Ophelia's (our oriental's example)) he was very vocal.

He was particularly fond of
furry jumpers and would climb all over your chest and shoulders where possible. After eating he would relentlessly paw the ground near his food 'covering up' what he had left. He was also unfussed by water and had even waded in draining bath water completely undistressed.

As a kitten he would attach himself as close as possible to you and he loved cuddling under the duvet. You had to be careful sticking your feet out the end of the bed or he would try and catch your toes! He was also very territorial about his toys and usually had a 'favourite'. If he was carrying it, it was very difficult to take it away from him!

During July he had started to mature and look more like a cat than a kitten. He would have turned 1 year in the autumn. His markings had become less pronounced and he was developing a more caramel coloured chest.

behaviour had changed since we moved (at the beginning of June) as he had been catching a large number of small animals, although the last time I saw him he was cuddled up around me.
