Jessie is 9 year old, female, she is spayed and was wearing a reflective grey collar with bell and Petlog tag. She is timid and could well be hiding somewhere. Used to be a housecat in the Therfield, Royston area, about 10 miles away.

Mainly tabby on top and white underneath. She is tabby round eyes but cheeks and jaw white but some colour on nose and under chin. Has a tabby tail with a white spot on the tip.

Had her at our home for four weeks. Had been going out in evenings but only for 10-15 minutes for the previous week. Not used to using a cat flap we propped it open for her. Have had to close the cat flap due to a neighbours cat coming into our house at all times - especially 3am!

Jessie went out at 9pm on 22nd March and never came back. Called for her that evening and for the next few.

She is microchipped and registered with Petlog and I've put ads in shops and wherever I can on the internet.

The weather Cold windy but dry at time. She normally only stays out for about 10-15 mins, and had never gone out of the garden.

She had some problems with neighbouring cat but used to dash inside and then hiss at him She only eats dry food, uses a litter tray and likes to spend a lot of time hiding. Does come out when she's used to people. Has a habit of lying stretched out on carpets and pulling herself across it with her front paws. Will play sometimes usually with the elastic rather than the mouse though. Shown no hunting instinct.

Suspect she has tried to go to previous home although she did seem settled with us. Not sure how long it takes a cat to travel 10 miles across mainly open fields.

Can everyone help look for Jessie. We need everyone on the Jackman's Estate, Letchworth Garden City to Please Search Sheds, Garages, Outbuildings in the hopes of finding her - she is relatively new to the area, and could be hiding.
Please send for her POSTER - Display it in a prominent position and spread the word to 'non internet' neighbours.
