Gizmo lives in a built up area but his house backs on to a dyke with lots of over grown bramble patches on it. On the other side of the dyke a tree lined path that leads onto a new housing developement with a pond in the middle. If gizmo has crossed the dyke he could get on to a playing field which many other houses back onto.

Gizmo is quite a timid gentle cat and does not talk to people he does not know. He is quite small and has a small baby meow. He is affectionate with a big purr for a little cat he loves to sit on our or the kids beds. Every morning he is waiting outside my sons bedroom door and the minute the door opens he runs and jumps on his bed and marches and purrs and has a snuggle. The children are heart broken that he is missing. Gizmo always sharpens his claws on the carpet and never on his scratch post. He likes his food and can eat quite a lot for a little boy . He likes to sit next to you but it is not very often he sits on your knee. He does not like to be picked up a lot but likes lots of tickles and strokes. He has had no ailments and no visits to the vets.

He has a brother that is missing him who is constantly looking out of the window and down the garden for Gizmo. On the day that he went missing the weather was dry and bright.I let them both out as usual at about 9.15 they ran to the bottom of the garden and into nextdoors garden. After about 1hr 30 mins Icalled them in and only Taz his brother returned. I had to go out at 11.30 and he still would not come which was unusual. I left a note for my husband to phone me on my mobile when he came home at 12.30 to let me know if Gizmo had come back. this is the first time I have ever had to go out with out him being safely indoors. He did come back! and was sat waitng to come in. He slept all afternoon and went out again at 4pm again with his brother.

That is the last time I saw him. His brother came in at 7.30 which was later than usual. We called him until the early hours, looked up and down the street, out the back by the dyke - not a sound. eventually we went to bed convinced that he would be outside in the morning . He has never stayed out at night before.
"Please help reunite my little Gizmo with his family, we are all so desperate for him to come back. Every day that goes by is just torture, looking at the backdoor every morning hoping to see his cheeky face waiting to come in only to be disappointed. It is also so hard for the children who set out on our many tours of the neighbourhood with a box of his favourite biscuits to shake and a warm blanket to wrap him in when they find him only to come home with no Gizmo. He may only be a little cat but he is leaving a big hole in our family and we so want him home safe and sound."
