Harley is a very friendly cat, who will go up to strangers for a fuss. He's the eldest of 3 cats and has always been the 'boss'. They all get on very well and will often cuddle up togther. Theres only ever been a few harsh words between them, often its when Harley tells the others off when he's not in the mood for playing.

On Monday 10th September, Harley came downstairs late afternoon from being in bed all day and went out through the cat flap. (This is his usual routine.) A few hours later we called him and he never came back. This isn't like Harley at all, he has always without fail came back within 5 minutes of being called. He never goes far, he's usually in the front or back garden, and if he's wandered it always been towards the fields but never far. We though he may be back in the morning for his usual sleep time, (he always goes to bed in the morning and spends the day asleep in our bedroom.) But he hadn't come back.

At this point we grew worried, in the 3 years we've had Harley he's been so like clock work. He has a routine and he never breaks it. He's very set in his ways. At that point we decided to start looking for him, we went out and called him, we phoned around everywhere in the area, and started to make posters to put up around the estate. We've been out every night since when its been dark and quiet calling him with cat biscuits. Theres been no sighting of Harley at all, none of the neighbours have seen him since monday.

The youngest of the other two cats has been out alot more than he usually is, and it takes him a while to come back when called, he is normally no further than the back garden, but he's ventured quiet a bit since Harley went missing. Zuki has just got over an operation so has been sleeping a lot lately and resting, so I've not noticed anything different with him or think he's noticed Harley isn't about.

We did move house 9 months ago, about a mile from where we live now, it is easily accessable by walking through the fields, so we have been up to the old house to see if he's there or has been seen there, but he hasn't.

"Harley has always been the one with the huge character. He's always been the boss, he's very stubborn, set in his ways, has to have everything his way or he sulks, but on the other hand can be the softest, loving and sociable cat I've ever known.
He has the household wrapped around his little claw, my hubby, myself, our two children, the other two cats and the dog. I didn't realise before just how much all our lives revolve around Harley. He's got his routine and he has us all in routine with him. The little'n is used to Harley waking him up in the morning for him to open the door for him to go to bed.  Me and the Hubby are used to getting jumped on at 6 o'clock so we can roll over and make room for him. The eldest is used to filling his bickies up for when he gets out of bed.
It's just not the same without him, the house feels empty and we all miss him so much. He seems to have vanished into thin air, no one has seen him at all, he must be somewhere?"
