We rescued a very sick little Oscar from a farm when he was 4
months old. Together with the Vet we nurtured him until he was a very happy, thriving and trusting little pussycat who was not scared of anything.
At 6 months he was allowed outside and something happened that turned him into a very jumpy cat who was suddenly very nervous of everything and everyone - except us. |

"Oscar was our 'first-born' pussycat, our 'problem child' and
although we adored Benji and we will never stop grieving for him, Oscar had been through so much that we were even more attached to him. When he disappeared just 6 months after Benji, this double whammy really devastated us. (My tears are falling onto my keyboard as I write this). The house is so terribly empty without him and despite us doing everything to find him, we've never found him. I work from home and every corner in the house, every piece of furniture reminds me of him. We plan to move at the end of this year and take Benji with us in his little urn, but unless Oscar has returned by then, we will have to leave him behind. Of course we will change our address with all the relevant people when the time comes, but it is a desperate thought." |
