Gizmo went missing on the 4th January 2009. He was being looked after by our friend whilst we were away on holiday. We were back two days later on the 6th Jan. While we were away our friend had said he was much the same as usual and being his usual self and eating normal.

He played in our garden and the field on the train tracks at the back of Alderley Avenue. He was always around this area and always came to us when we shouted him. But we think that he has some how got out the front of our house which is an area he was not use to and has never explored. We now think that he couldnt get back over the gate and got himself lost.

He is a very, very loving cat and most likely he would come up to you in the street and be very affectionate. He is still very young and loves people. He is very playful and loves rattly balls and peices of string. He was doctored only in October but had adjusted really well and loves the outdoors. He is very active and always full of fun.

We have two other cats, Tillie and Miller, they seem to be in the house more since he went missing but we are not sure if this is because the weather has been so cold. This is a worry to us that the weather is cold because although Gizmo loves the outdoors he also loved the warm and spent alot of time in his basket or on our bed asleep.

"We have already posted over 1,000 leaflets in doors and on lampposts and an advert has been placed in the Gazette. We have had a wonderful response from people keeping their eye out for him.
On top of this we have had three definate sightings of him on Harrington Avenue, but because he has a collar on he would not be assumed as missing and until the lady received our leaflet she had no reason to alert us. ."
Would everyone living and working in the vicinity and surrounding areas of
Alderley Avenue and possibly Harrington avenue
