Ellington (Ellie) has an older brother by about an hour and a step brother who can be a bit of a monster and has been known to bite all of us on occasion. But recently Ellington and his step brother have been getting on much better and have even slept on their mum's bed together.

Ellington is in perfect health but was out in the snow. He goes out but never for long periods and always comes in and sleeps indoors at night unlike his brother Basie who is out on the tiles on occasions.

The other cats go out every day looking for him and like his mother has been doing. I have knocked on people's doors checking in their sheds and garages and shouting for him. Often I go out shouting his name around 1 or 2am and listening afterwards often by garages. I have been looking at small gaps between fences and sheds and have contacted postmen, milkmen and road sweepers, rescue centres and vets.

I often talk to groups of children and teenagers trying to get them involved in the search and offering them a reward. I have been placing posters up all over mine and surrounding areas plus delivering flyers through doors.

Ellington is a gentile cat but very shy with strangers but he also can be very loving with his mum. Although he doesn't like to be picked up. He will suffer it for a little while. He is greatly missed.

I'm sure all of you appreciate how your pet is part of your family and to be parted from them is like having your heart pulled out.

Not a minute goes by when there isn't a fear that he is in trouble. I feel helpless not knowing where he is and how I can help him. Please if you just have the slightest idea that a cat you have seen may be him please don't hesitate to contact me immediately, Night or day. Thanking you kindly. Tracey
