Bro and his Sister live in a building of six flats, and the building has its own car park in a sort of cul-de-sac type area. Bro (missing) and his sister have been living in the car park, and they have a rabbit hutch we purchased for them for shelter from bad weather, etc. They are free to roam, however, and Bro, while he has spent much of his time in our car park for the last eight or nine months, often roams about. The building we live in is relatively protected from traffic, but there are major roads nearby, and the bypass is not far from us
Bro is a male tabby who arrived with his sister, Cuddles, to live with us in March of 2012. His sister showed up in December 2011 outside our building as a stray, and as we began to feed and take care of her, Bro followed suit three months later. The two siblings have been living outdoors in our building's car park for about a year. We are unsure of their history or age. Cuddles appears to have been spayed (there have been no litters in 19 months), or that they have traveled far from their original home. Neither appeared underfed when they arrived, although Bro was significantly thinner than Cuddles (not so anymore!). Bro is very skittish around people, and we suspect that his eyesight may be poor, as his eyes are quite squinty and he has shown signs of having difficulty seeing, especially in the dark. Because they came to us as strays, we do not know their history, so we have no idea whether either has been chipped or neutered/spayed, but Bro appears intact upon visual inspection.
Bro disappeared on Wednesday, February 27, 2013. About two or three weeks before he disappeared, he had been leaving right after meals (unusual behaviour), perhaps to find a warmer place to sleep. We have a rabbit hutch kitted out with a SnuggleSafe and warm blankets and rugs outside in the car park for them, but Bro is not nearly as hardy as Cuddles, and it is possible that he had been getting shut into a shed overnight, as he would be missing at dinner time but then show up for breakfast at precisely 7:40 AM for several days in a row the week before he disappeared.
Bro is very loved and very missed. He is a very skittish cat and nervous around humans, but he seems to have finally begun to trust us and trust in our care and love for him. We are desperately worried and despondent. Reward for safe return. Bro's sister, Cuddles, who is also part of our family (we didn't want to separate them), keeps a constant vigil for him, as do I...please, if anyone has any information, I would be so grateful...thank you, Jenny
